“I like to photograph people and places. A sliver of the natural beauty in a landscape or starry sky can be captured within the frame of a single photo. People are the same. Within a single, frozen moment, the smallest hint of a person’s warmth and character can be witnessed. In portraits, I strive to capture people within those moments as they are, as natural as the landscapes and places that I photograph. For events, I look to capture the interactions, the conversation, the setting, the tone, and the memories made on that day. Time marches on, but with the click of a shutter, it can be made still for the sake of memory and posterity.”
